Voter registration
- Online or by mail — at least 15 days before an election at Michigan.gov/Vote
- In person at the Clerk’s office — through Election Day with proof of residency
- The Clerk’s office is open the Saturday before each election from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for registration and absentee-ballot service
Absentee voting and early voting
Any registered Michigan voter may request an absentee ballot. Apply online or download the application from mvic.sos.state.mi.us.
Michigan now offers at least nine consecutive days of early in-person voting before each statewide election. Birch Run Township participates in the Saginaw County early-voting site at 618 Cass St., Saginaw. Schedule details are posted at saginawcountymi.gov.
Becoming a poll worker
Paid election-inspector positions are available for each election. Apply through the Michigan Department of State or contact the Clerk directly.
